Lawrence Wong has had more than 30 years of experience advising clients from small businesses to multi-national firms on corporate, real estate matters, and litigation matters. Lawrence began his practice at a downtown Vancouver law firm where he specialized in corporate, commercial and real estate matters, ranging from corporate re-organizations to real estate development and financing, commercial leasing and venture capital funds. He later built his own specialized boutique law practice. Over the years, Lawrence has expanded his practice to include areas such as immigration, administrative and constitutional litigation. Lawrence has led notable and highly publicized actions and class proceedings which positively shaped the landscape of administrative law in Canada. He appears regularly before the Federal Court of Canada as well as various administrative tribunals.
Lawrence is a frequent commentator for legal and policy developments on various media networks including: CBC, CTV, Toronto Sun, Globe & Mail, National Post, Omni TV and Fairchild TV. He was formerly the co-host of a legal radio show on AM 1320 CHMB, one of Vancouver’s longest-standing radio stations. Lawrence was also a columnist for all three major Chinese newspapers in British Columbia – Ming Pao, Sing Tao and World Journal – for several years.
Lawrence received his law degree from Queen’s University and B.A. from University of B.C.
In addition to his legal practice, Lawrence is passionate about film-making and is an independent producer of short films.
