William A. Wright

William A. Wright is an experienced litigator with an outstanding reputation for representing clients in business and real estate litigation matters. Mr. Wright’s experience includes litigation of partnership disputes, real estate disputes, escrow, title insurance coverage and bad faith actions, contract, entertainment and fraud disputes, and securities litigation. Mr. Wright’s notable cases include successfully representing major title insurance companies in connection with coverage litigation, bad faith actions and escrow-related claims. He has also represented a variety of real estate developers, lenders and major corporations.

Mr. Wright received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University in 1994 and his law degree from the University of Southern California in 1997. While at Stanford, Mr. Wright was a 4-year member of Stanford’s NCAA Division 1 varsity tennis team, and was on Stanford’s 1992 NCAA Division 1 National Championship team. Prior to founding Early Sullivan, Mr. Wright was a partner at the law firm of Glaser, Weil, Fink, Jacobs, Howard & Shapiro, LLP (formerly the Christensen Miller firm).

He has been selected five times for inclusion in Super Lawyers Rising Stars.

 

Title Insurance Litigation

  • Representing First American Title Insurance Company, and its subsidiaries and affiliates, in connection with title insurance litigation, bad faith actions and escrow-related claims.
  • Representing Fidelity National Financial Inc., and its subsidiaries and affiliates, in connection with title insurance litigation, bad faith actions and escrow-related claims.
  • Obtaining a complete defense verdict following a six-week jury trial in which the plaintiff bank, who was represented by Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, sought more than $55 million in damages against Fidelity National Title Company and Fidelity National Title Insurance Company (the verdict was honored by the Daily Journal as one of the “Top Defense Verdicts” of 2012)

Real Estate Litigation

  • Representing property owners and developers in easement disputes and quiet title actions.
  • Defending major lending institutions against multi-million dollar mechanic's lien litigation.
  • Representing a real estate developer against claims of fraud and rescission pertaining to numerous properties throughout Southern California.
  • Representing a lender against a developer's claims for wrongful foreclosure relating to a multi-million dollar construction loan.

Securities Litigation

  • Defending officers and directors of a publicly traded telecommunications company in connection with a multi-billion dollar securities class action lawsuit and related litigation.
